Data Processing Addendum (DPA)
Scanii's Data Processing Addendum (the "DPA") sets out how Uva Software, LLC processes personal data on your behalf when you use Scanii. The DPA is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and into any Master Subscription Agreement executed with us. You do not need to negotiate it separately.
Do I need one?
If you are subject to the GDPR, UK GDPR, or a similar data protection law, and you submit files containing personal data to Scanii for scanning, you should have a signed DPA on file. If you are not sure whether it applies to you, sign one anyway. It takes a couple of minutes and costs nothing.
How to sign it
- Open the DPA here: Review and sign the Scanii DPA
- Enter your legal entity name and the contact details for your data protection contact.
- Sign electronically. A countersigned copy is emailed to you automatically.
You do not need to send us anything separately, and you do not need to wait for a reply before continuing to use Scanii.
Reading it before you sign
The full text is visible in the link above before you sign anything. If your legal or procurement team needs a copy in another format, or needs it attached as an exhibit to a Master Subscription Agreement, email legal@uvasoftware.com and we will send one.
Sub-processors
A current list of the sub-processors we use to deliver the service is available here. We will notify customers of changes to that list in accordance with the DPA.
